I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 4th December, confirming that you have accepted the offer of £1,000 by the Hong Kong Government, for your collection of pictures, and to say that the Crown Agents for the Colonies have been authorized to pay you this sum when they have colleeted the pictures. /^
It is understood from Dr. Sloss that you have been so kind as to offer to supervise the packing of the collection and that they might go as first class freight. Dr. Sloss has been asked to inform this Office when the pictures are ready for despatch. The Crown Agents are being asked to arrange insurance from the time they leave your eare.
